  3. itssssssss meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee – wat happens wid a animal wid 4 legs? dont thy have knees?

  4. wha…? – thats retarded though cuz like there are all these diff animals and now ure sayin only one has 4 knees?? :S chocolate elephant is right. what about tortoises (sorry im too lazy 2 chek my spelling lolz)

  5. NO!! – im a horseback rider and i know that when a horse lies down, he bends all FOUR knees to get to the ground.

  6. What? – I don’t get it. All over the internet are sites saying that elephants are the only animals with four knees, but I don’t understand how that’s true. I can see that dogs’ knees are “backwards”, and probably don’t count as knees, and the same with elbows on primates. But from what I have seen animals such as tortoises definitely have four knees. There is probably some distinction, but what is it?

  7. Maybe… – .. it has to do with the history of how their bones evolved looking back through ancestry or something? Maybe it’s just some weird way scientists look at it. There was probably just one animal with a history of 4 knees or something a long, long time ago, and it happened to be the one that elephants evolved from. When they looked at the fossils through the years and did comparisons, they probably just drew the conclusion then that elephants were the only living thing that could have the traits that those fossils.

Sometimes I’m not good at explaining my ideas. Hope I got it out there okay
