Don’t Touch

The words “flammable” and “inflammable” mean the same. “Inflammable” is grammatically correct, but it was feared that safety hazards would result when people mistook “inflammable” to mean “not capable of producing flames.”

  1. To quote the Simpsons. – “What a country, inflammable means flammable?” Dr. Nick Riviera

  2. experience – i figured that out on my own i threw a can of bug spray into a fire that said, “caution highly inflamable” i hate english

  3. I don think so… – Inflammable comes from “In,” meaning “not” and “flammable,” meaning “able to catch on fire.”
