DoN’T SnEeZe To HaRd Or ElSe…………….DIE!!

If you sneeze too hard, you can fracture a rib. If you try to suppress
a sneeze, you can rupture a blood vessel in your head or neck and die

  1. Maybe, maybe not… – But apparently if you hold your eyes open when you sneeze, your eyes will pop out. Which is nice.

  2. Two things – You can’t hold you eyes open when you sneeze, and second, everything in your body stops when you sneeze, including your heart.

  3. and… – also, if you have a car accident and the ppl ask you why/how it happened, you cant get in trouble if you say you sneezed, cuz no one can keep their eyes open wen dey sneeze

  4. ouch – i once coughed and ripped the cartilage that holds my ribs together… it hurt to breath

  5. wrong! – first of all- your eyes will not pop out of ur head if u keep them open-because u cant lkeep them open! dont belive me-try it! second-u wont DIE if u sneeze hard enough….trust me. my friend sneezes really hard-and he isnt dead

  6. pop – well the eye popping thing is a fact, my cousin was born without eye lids so when she sneezes she has to put her hands over her eyes or they pop out.. the speed of a sneeze is somewhere around 120km i think..

  7. bless you – the reason we say “bless you” or “God bless you” to somebody who sneezed is because their heartbeat stops at 1/10 [or is it 1/5] of a second… bless him/her he’s still alive!

  8. sry…ur wrong – thats not the reason we say it. in earlier times, people thought that when you sneezed Satan’s spirt came out of you, therefore, God was blessing them for getting Satan Out

  9. believe yours – i’d rather believe my sources because it’s more believable than those satanic reason of yours… and besides it has TRUE reasons [like heartbeat stoppage]…

  10. ok, i researched – The connection of sneezing to the plague is not the first association of sneezing with death. According to Man, Myth, and Magic: The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Mythology, Religion and the Unknown, many cultures, even some in Europe, believe that sneezing expels the soul–the “breath of life”–from the body. That doesn’t seem too far-fetched when you realize that sneezing can send tiny particles speeding out of your nose at up to 100 miles per hour!

We know today, of course, that when you sneeze, your heart doesn’t stop, nor will your eyes pop out if you can keep them open ( 4.html), nor does your soul get expelled. What does get expelled are hundreds upon thousands of microscopic germs. The current advice when you sneeze is to cover your mouth with your arm rather than your hand. That way, all those germs won’t be on your hands when you touch the countless things you’re going to touch in the course of the day (don’t tell us; we don’t want to know).

  11. another sneeze – your heart will stop for a while because of the movements of your ribcage and your lungs…. another fact: the world record for sneezing is held by Donna Griffiths from Worstershire in the UK, who sneezed for 978 days in a row, stopping on 16 September 1983 [source: guinness book of world records]

  12. to MiniT – MiniT, how does ur cousin keep her eyes hydrated?? wow, someone born without eyelids?? what if she doesnt hold in her eyes in time????

  13. Yeah… – and also, how does she sleep? huh? huh? and when she swims?? huh? what if her eyes stingg??? huh? huh??? how bout contacts?? can she cry?? huh??????

  14. Death? – I don’t know about death but I pulled something in my neck once when sneezing and couldn’t turn my head for a week. That’s comparable to getting lost in your own driveway…

  15. ummm – i fart when i sneeze too hard. of course, i also fart when i cough to hard, laugh too hard or eat too much chili. i’m just a pig.
