Are they worthless? Are they facts? You Decide.
Names for Atlantic hurricanes can be only French, English, or Spanish.
it’s a boy? it’s a girl? – They’re also named alternating boy-girl-boy-girl names. The one after Isabelle will be a male name.
UNFAIR!! – Why can’t some be Hebrew? Hurricane Yonatan! Hurricane Sharona! Hurricane Avraham!
ok, ok…. – so I overreacted a bit…
Hebrew names – Can you imagine people talking about ‘Hurricane Motel’? The names are english french or spanish because Americans have a superiority complex. A dn the area that most readily comes to mind when discussing hurricanes is Louisiana, which has English French adn Spanish influences.
Though I would like to see a hurricane Sharona.
another fact – besides going boy-girl-boy etc. they go alphabeticly, and they never use the same name twice
